General English Course
The English Language course component of Level Up: LTE comprises an online, self-study General English training course. This course covers Listening & Reading skills from beginner to advanced levels (aligned to the A1-C1 levels of the CEFR*), as well as language support for grammar, spelling and pronunciation. Candidates will be able to self-select into their appropriate proficiency level and once they have completed the English course to their desired level, register to take the LTE (Reading & Listening, A1 to C2).
The General English course has been planned and designed in line with current e-learning best practices and the latest teaching and learning methods, grounded in neuroscientific research. It balances modularisation based on new ‘chunked’ distribution trends in e-learning with a robust structure. It also fits with the new approach of ‘hot learning’.

LanguageCert Test of English (LTE) A1-C2 Listening & Reading
About the exam:
- All candidates take the same test regardless of language proficiency and receive a certificate placing them at levels A1 to C2 of the CEFR* based on their performance
- Assesses Listening and Reading skills, as well as command of English grammar and vocabulary
- Establishes English language proficiency reliably and quickly

The LTE & General English Course is ideal for candidates who are aiming to boost their employment opportunities, confidence in the workplace and even potential earnings. It has been noted that English proficiency can lead to higher salary and greater job opportunities. This course is perfect for candidates that are looking to migrate to an English speaking country.
The LTE & General English Course comprises over 300 hours of General English Material and a LanguageCert Test of English Exam. The General English materials range from Levels A1 – C1 and also include supplementary materials such as Grammar, Spelling, Pronunciation and dedicated LTE preparation materials. Once candidates are confident with their level of English they will be directed to book and take their LTE Exam and receive a Test Report and Certificate once completed.
The LTE & General English Course has over 300 hours of material. Each level is roughly 35-50 hours while the supplementary material is roughly 200 hours. Each candidate will have 90 days of access to these materials.
To book the LanguageCert Test of English exam you must first create or login to your LanguageCert account. Once logged in, you must input the LTE Voucher Code that is provided during registration into the redemption field. Once the voucher is redeemed you will be provided with clear instructions to select an exam date and time that is suitable for you.
